Dr. Katherine Reynolds
Associate Research Director, Context Questionnaires and Reporting
Dr. Katherine Reynolds manages the development of the TIMSS and PIRLS context questionnaires. She updates the context questionnaires and their associated frameworks for each study cycle to incorporate new topics of interest and improve coverage for topics of ongoing importance. Her analytic work with context questionnaire data includes evaluation of measurement invariance and exploration of new measurement approaches. She contributes to various publications related to these efforts, including peer-reviewed articles, research briefs, and technical documentation. She also assists in the development of science Problem Solving and Inquiry (PSI) tasks.
Dr. Reynolds has a PhD in Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment from Boston College. She also has a Master's degree in Social and Philosophical Studies in Education and a Bachelor's degree in History, both from the University of Kentucky. Her previous professional experiences include research work with the Centre for Assessment Research, Policy and Practice at Dublin City University, as well as teaching at the graduate, undergraduate, and middle school levels.
